About Stacey Sadler

I chose the counseling profession because of what Jesus Christ has done for me. 2 Cor 1:3-5 says, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trouble so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

I enjoy working with those affected by trauma. Living in this world, awful events occur in people's lives that affects their daily functioning. The good news is that this can be helped. I utilize EMDR to help clients see these events as less distressing thus increasing their quality of life immensely. This treatment method is effective for those suffering from anxiety, grief, disturbing memories, abuse and much more. As a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist through The Association of Partners of Sex addicts Trauma Specialists, I treat clients who are suffering from betrayal trauma. They find a safe haven in my office and have a protected space to tell their story. They are met with compassion, acceptance, and understanding.

The group process is another amazing tool I utilize to help people heal. Currently, I facilitate two groups. Both focus on discovering and becoming your authentic self. One is workbook based and leads women "Reclaim Yourself". The other is a trauma group centered on processing difficult life events on a deeper level and moving into a freer life. Both are effective experiential ways to grow and heal.

In addition, I travel with New Life Ministries across the country to facilitate weekend healing groups on specific issues such as: weight loss, sexual betrayal, trauma, marital intimacy and general healing. My experience with groups dates back 15 years when I started leading recovery groups in my church. I received my undergraduate degree from Texas State in 1988. My graduate degree is from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. I became an LPC in late 2010. I enjoy spending my spare time fishing and spending time around the water with my two grown children.

I believe that Christ is the center of the healing process. My Biblical values are the basis from which I counsel. There are great benefits to integrating the power of one's faith into the therapeutic process. However, I meet client's where they are in regards to this issue and respect their wishes in regards to prayer and faith.
